Oklahoma City -- Why did they name the airport after a guy (Will Rodgers) who died in a plane crash? Very much a small-town feel, short on lines and short on amenities.

Kansas City -- A very weird airport. There is a security checkpoint for every 4-6 gates, not for an entire terminal. As a result the lines are usually short. However, if you want to buy just about anything (besides $3 bottles of water), you have to exit the secured gate area and submit yourself to the full security checkpoint process.

Dallas/FW -- I've actually enjoyed my flights through here. Plenty of places to eat. I try to plan for an hour between flights to get to the next gate, but sometimes you don't have that option. I've flown in several prop aircraft from here to OKC, leaving out of gates A2-A6 or so. They have to bus you out to the tarmac to board. That was wild.

Orlando -- A very nice airport. Just outside security is a huge mall-type deal with plenty of places to eat, shop, and a huge Hyatt. There is a very very nice (and expensive) steak house on the 9th-10th floor of the Hyatt. Very very good. There's just one security area, part goes to A and part to B. Lines were long, but moved pretty fast.

Las Vegas -- Odd seeing so many slot machines in the terminal. They switched planes on me, and forgot about my bags. Big fail.

Reno -- A nice small-town airport. Lines were short, free shuttles to all the local places. I got a shot of an LCD that was stuck on a BIOS error. I thought it was funny. Takeoff and landing are very quick so that you can get up and over the mountains fast.

He sent His Son to compile once and for all, to debug our error and warning-filled Vim screens and implement our missing functions. All His work is a pointer to an array of His glory. Someday when our program terminates, His deconstructor will have cleaned up all of our garbage.
Contrary to popular belief, Genesis 1 does not describe an unbelievable compact Perl script.
I've thought about crossing over to the dark side and signing up for Twitter because 1) sometimes something happens and I would love to share, but don't want to make a whole big bad blog post out of it, and 2) Does a new Twitter "post" count as a blog post? I could update daily, with very little effort! Double plus good!

So many things are running through my head right now. I agree with you on all but the first one . . . but I'll concede that to our difference in age! Umm, it's actually proven that if you pretend to be happy (aka the smile) you actually will start feeling happier! And lastly, someone was telling me at one point when they pull up to someone playing their music really loud he rolls down the window and turns down his radio so that they can share! This usually concerns the other person enough to turn theirs down!

Two posts in the same week?! Google Reader can't handle it man!

A friend of mine was out with his wife for the day, they both were taking pictures. They got through most of the day, and got in several good shots, before he realized he had this growth on his ear that was his Bluetooth receiver. Yes, and it made it in all the pictures. Oops.

I have forgone the Bluetooth headset in favor of the Jabra speakerphone for the car. I like it a lot, the sound volume is very nice and most people can't tell that they're on speakerphone in my car.

For more snarkiness, check out my friend Shalee's blog, she's got a good run-down on those other drivers.
Great article on the tournament. I've lost a lot of respect for the NCAA. They put on this mask of how 'amateur' they are (in terms of being a non-professional), yet the corporate nature of the game is just... hard to watch.

I've really gotten into the game of college basketball, but the timeouts are tough to swallow. Take the NHL for example. Each team gets exactly 1 timeout the entire game, and usually only uses it maybe once every other game. Additionally, in each of the 3 20-minute periods, there are maybe 3 (or at most 4) TV timeouts. These stoppages last maybe 90 seconds. Additionally, during the coach's one timeout, this is usually at a critical point in the game and the commentators take the time to explain what is going on.

The tradeoff with the NHL is that there are practically 10 minutes of commercials during the intermission, but that's what the DVR and blogging are for!!
